The Perfect Kitchen Knives

from $10.00

These are two of our most frequently used knives in the kitchen during the summer months - The “Granny paring knives” are our go-to when it comes to preparing tomatoes or fruits for canning and the “Tomato slicer knives” are perfect for slicing into a juicy ripe tomato. They’re small and easy to manage while working through loads of produce or for a quick preparation of fruit for a snack.

Storytime: When I was in college, my roommate and dear friend Jill had one of these paring knives that we often used in our kitchen. It was the best knife we had and I thought for sure it was worth a pretty penny. When we moved out, she sent the knife with me, as I had loved it so much and used it almost daily. At our first market farm, I used the knife as a harvesting knife and one day, the knife went missing - it’s probably still out in the fields or buried under inches of soil. I was so sad and thought I might not be able to replace it because I thought “it must be an expensive knife!” - until I finally looked it up and found the exact same knife for a mere $10! I ordered 2 as a replacement! Today, we have one in our home kitchen and one in our production kitchen that we use to prep so many of our vegetables and fruits from our garden.
